The Seasons of Life

Winter months can be very gloomy for me and I use to wonder if there was something wrong with me. Presently, I’m learning to accept these darker moments in my life and getting to know myself better. For in these times, I discover my weaknesses and strength. When I find myself emotionally confused I may allow myself to let the tears roll down my cheeks and when I’ve had enough of the pity party, I cry out to God and draw closer to him finding the comfort and strength I need. For awhile I thought I might be crazy lol, but now I’ve discovered that just like there are many seasons on earth, that our lives are also full of temperate seasons. So we ALL will have periods of times were we feel down, even if we don’t blog about it:), but we must know that it’s only temporary. So if the ‘daylight’ in your life is being cut short by winter season, remember spring is around the corner. If it’s coming down pouring on you remember it’s temporary and water is good for growth. If the heat is too much to bare from your summer season, it will come to pass and the sun also helps us grow. If it’s fall in your life…you can’t complain! That’s the best season with all the autumn colors and pumpkin spice flavors, ok I’m being bias;). But you get the point. Embrace where you are at right now, learn from it, and remember it’s temporary.❤

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

  1. Remember that the sun will come soon! I love how optimistic you are. I experienced these winter downs as well, and I know it can be tough. But when the sun comes out, you’ll feel so much better!

  2. My condolences! I agree with your dad, they are beautiful scriptures that describe our journey in life, we must embrace it all to be well rounded people, and develop the ability to learn from our non-pleasant seasons!❤
