Thoughts on Romans8

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everyone started the work week with thier best foot forward :).

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
This passage made me think of something a preacher said once. He said in general we can submit most things to the Spirit but there is always one fleshy thing or sin that we struggle to let go of. Then we feel like we are ok with God cuz we’ve surrender the majority of our flesh or let go of most our carnal ways. But then he goes on to say. ‘Did you know that most of the people that won’t make it to heaven won’t be because of multiple sins? But it’ll be cuz of the one sin they could not let go of’. This really shook me cuz I know I still have carnal things to let go of. And now I’m reading that they that are in the flesh can not please God. It’s seems harsh, but if he gave his all for us it seems only fair that he expect the same from us. ♥

  1. You are so right. We have to be careful to submit all the areas of our life to Him, and to those who have no desire to the separate from flesh and sinful nature, it can definitely seem over-the-top harsh. I pray daily that the Lord reveal anything to me that I’m doing that puts me at enmity with Him. God bless you, sis, for sharing the Truth ❤

  2. It is absolutely the least we could so! ❤
The Spirit is at work in you. The evidence is the fact that you care about your sin.
It's called conviction. That is evidence that you are His! ❤ Even now, as you are!
He will help you get to where He wants you to be! He loves you! ❤
