I enjoyed this book very much! If I had to describe this book in one word it be, ‘cozy’. It’s in a small town where everyone knows each other and most characters are very friendly, but gossip is a thing :). The school teacher, Catherine is dealing with the recent loss of her mother and now a new troubled girl in her class. Widow Austin is the new rancher in town who is hoping Miss Catherine will help him with his daughter as he deals with dangers of the past. Although some of the scenes seemed predictable to me, I still enjoyed them with the author’s clever descriptions. Plus, towards the end there were some unexpected twists along with a bit of suspence and tragedy. This book is good for anyone who enjoys small town historic romance with a little mystery.

Sometimes a little predictability is a nice escape 😊

I don’t think it was too mushy, the main character seem to be more in denial about her feelings at first, especially since she was still in mourning :).

I usually prefer to be kept guessing, but I didn’t mind at all. I guess I was drawn by the characters and the author’s way of painting the story, I truly enjoyed it:).

Oh no I totally agree – the whodunnit mystery type books are probably some of my favorite! I guess predictability like you mean is different than a predictable outcome…either way, at least you enjoyed it!

Yes:). In this case some of the outcome was predictable as well but, she did add a few surprises. It was a great read:)
