Thoughts 1Corinthians 12

Happy Sunday, I hope everyone is enjoying this day and making time to go to church :). Here is a little on my bible journaling before I myself head to church:).

I loved this whole chapter talking about how we all have different gifts and talents in God, but in particular verses 14-18 it talks about how no body member is greater than the other. V18 says’…. God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.’ To think we are better than our fellow brother or sister makes us arrogant, and to feel less than our sister is to be unsatified with the role He ‘chose’ for us. In the past I have struggled with feeling less than others, then I realize God has a purpose for me and it’s not the same purpose he has for others. I am fearfully and wonderfully made and when I embrace that I feel more happy. I read a posting that said, ‘Comparison is the thief of Joy’. Remember if we were all ‘eyes’ then we’d have no sense of hearing. So embrace God’s purpose and plans for you and remember no one is greater or less than the other. ❀ Have a great day!

  1. Just returning home from church followed by lunch with my beautiful daughter, Lily. Thanks for sharing this powerful message. I struggle with low self-esteem, and I sometimes try to compensate by out-working everybody else. This results in me being exhausted and grumpy— definitely NOT what i was going for. So, I am reminded that it isn’t a competition, and that God made each of us for His divine purpose. Have a blessed day!
