Justice Delayed: Audio Book Review

Product description

It’s been eighteen years since TV crime reporter Andi Hollister’s sister was murdered. The confessed killer is behind bars, and the execution date is looming. But when a letter surfaces stating that the condemned killer didn’t actually do it, Detective Will Kincaide of the Memphis Cold Case Unit will stop at nothing to help Andi get to the bottom of it. After all, this case is personal: the person who confessed to the crime is Will’s cousin. They have less than a week to find the real killer before the wrong person is executed. But much can be accomplished in that week–including uncovering police corruption, running for your life, and falling in love.

With the perfect mixture of intrigue and nail-biting suspense, award-winning author Patricia Bradley invites her readers to crack the case–if they can–alongside the best Memphis has to offer.

I borrowed this Suspense romance audio on my library app and absolutely loved it! I rate it 5 🌟!   .   I must say the narrator was awesome with the character voices and emotions.

However, regardless of the reader’s talents, this story was very delightful! The detective and crime reporter are actually childhood friends, almost family since he and her older brother have been best friends since elementary. Lately though their feelings have been changing and harder to conceal as they work together on the case that is opening old wounds for Andi’s family.  Her brother who is a police officer, is resistant to his best friend reopening the close case and with his sister’s involvement.  Patricia Bradley has a great sense of humor, I was literally laughing out loud as I listened on my ear phones at work. Although my coworkers eyed me suspiciously I could not help myself as I enjoyed the banter the author created between the siblings, along with the teasing among the characters. The plot itself was very clever, it had me guessing who done it, and I couldn’t have been more wrong with my suspect and how the murder actually occurred.

This book is great for anyone who enjoys fast pace stories, great mysteries, suspense, romance, and great humor:)!

  1. Yes! I’m currently listening to Terri Blackstock…highly recommend her books as well if you like suspense books :). She’s alot more intense than Patricia Bradley and not as funny, but a little more on the thriller side. She also puts alot more God in her books:). I’m on the second one in one of her series. I’m like halfway through book 2 on day three, I would not be this far if I was reading them myself 😂.
