Happy Friday! 💕

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Thank you all who have sent prayers for my youngest daughter. She is definitely a lot better!

This week has seemed a blur, and although I did not accomplish all my goals I did leave a dent on my list :). I was able to work on my manuscripts two times (my goal is five times weekly). Considering my working and sick child, I am glad to have fit in time. Life will through curve balls and we must adjust and keep going.

I am excited to say I am now a member of the ACFW!

American Christian Fiction Writers, has learning materials, podcast from conferences, critique groups, and zone meetings, included in the membership. They have a ‘First Impressions’ contest going on right now for non-published writers, $15 fee for members and $25 for non. Deadline to submit your first 5 pages is on October 15th. One winner from each genre (10 winners) will get a free annual membership, their name included among the promotional material at the ACFW Conference, and a press release to their local newspaper, if contact provided. I personally would be happy just to get feedback!

Since I am talking about contest, I want to say that Mount Herman Cristian Writers Conference in California has a free 5 page submission for fiction and non fiction writers, deadline is December 10th. Ten winners will get to attend their conference for free April 12-16, lodging and food included! Winners must pay traveling expenses and any upgrades!

Well these contest help me put established goals in my writing journey and keep me motivated during my busy weeks, or moments of doubt. If you are an aspiring author, there are many contest for writing conferences and publications we just have to search:). Breathe Christian Writer’s Conference in Michigan, is another one I want to submit to, but miss this year’s deadline. Please share with me of any other submission opportunities that you know of, I’m all ears!

Well there’s much more I’d like to say but, I want to work on my manuscript (to make it three times this week), before I have to get my kiddos ;).  Have a great weekend, you’ll!
