I Choose Joy!

Happy Wednesday, I hope everyone is having a great week πŸ˜‰Β .

This has been a bit of an off week for me. Aside from it being an extremely busy week at work, I’m still adjusting to the change of weather. I was experiencing minor headaches and nose bleeds but thought it was from allergies. However this weekend when I started having dizzy spells, sleeping more than my share with little energy to spare, and irregular heart beats, I decided to have blood work done and see my doctor. I have a history of iron deficiency and hope it’s nothing more serious than that. Meanwhile I’m taking iron pills, drinking kale drinks and plenty of iron foods ☺ . I also won tickets to NashvilleΒ for the Christy Gala Awards (it’s like the red carpet for Christian authors) and was super excited but for personal reasons I had to decline the prize today. So if anyone entered through Just Read you may have a second opportunity! I’m happy they won’t go to waste, I mean to be in the same room with Francine Rivers, Jerry Jenkins, and many other great authors come on!! πŸ’•

My faith in God has truly been my strength and I made the decision to not worry, stress, or be bummed. I’ve had the latest by King and Country on repeat while I work and drive home. The message is uplifting and the beat wants to get this low energy gal dancing for Joy in my lab coat! πŸ˜‰

I have to clock in for work already but just know that tonight this girl chooses joy…..and maple pecan latte!

  1. Thank you!
    Nehemiah 8:10
10 Nehemiah said, β€œGo and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

  2. Lovely post. Sorry your week started off a bit wobbly. I’m also on iron tablets so can relate. Oh and what a shame you didn’t get to go and had to give your tickets away. I pray that something extra special comes your way… although maple pecan pie sounds amazing!

    1. Thank you so much for your good wishes! And maple pecan pie does sound delicious πŸ˜‹. I’m ready for Thanksgiving so I can partake of every pie I lay my eyes on πŸ˜‰.
