My Thoughts: 💭 

This book started at an easy pace but once it picked up speed it was hard to put down!

While learning about fossils I grew to love the characters and the sibling love between Gideon, my fave, and his sister.

I will say there is a bit of violence or mistreatment towards a pregnant woman that made me cringed as I grabbed my abdomen, lol. Things like this happen in real life but it isn’t something I tend to read about. I felt her pain although I didn’t sympathize with all of her thoughts. But pregnant women are entitled to their emotions fueled by extra hormones :). She wasn’t the main character but I adored her as well.

Caroline, is finding herself in this world. She is stong willed, short tempered, the less fairer of the three Ansley sisters, and reminds me a bit of myself 😁. With a tad of humor that author Carolyn includes, this romance, with its complications of society differences and plenty of surprises, makes a great regency read.

This is the first of Daughters of Aynsley series, book two just released this month. I got a preview of the first chapter and it drew me in, I can’t wait to read it!
